Rules and gameplay

A cluster of coloured bubbles hangs from the top of the screen and you control a launcher at the bottom, firing bubbles upward. Aim by clicking or dragging and release to shoot; the bubble sticks beside the first one it touches. When three or more bubbles of the same colour end up connected, that whole group clears and scores. There is one further rule that matters greatly: after a group clears, any bubbles hanging below it that have lost their connection to the top fall as well, and those falling bubbles also score. Knocking out a single load-bearing position can therefore clear far more than three bubbles at once. The colour of your next bubble is previewed so you can plan ahead. The round ends when the cluster descends to the bottom line, and your score is shown. Your best is stored on your device.

Tips for higher scores

What newcomers most often miss is that the bulk of the scoring here comes not from matching three but from cutting. The cluster hangs from the top, and any section that loses its connection to the ceiling falls entirely. The genuinely efficient play is therefore to look for support points — positions that carry a long tail of bubbles beneath them while being held by only a few above. Removing a support point drops dozens of bubbles at once, worth far more than a dutiful three-match. Doing that requires learning to bank off the walls: a direct shot often cannot reach a target buried deep in the cluster, but a bubble fired at the side wall rebounds at a mirrored angle and can thread into gaps inside. The trick for judging the angle is to imagine a mirrored target on the far side of the wall and aim at that phantom point. Make good use of the preview too: if the next colour is awkward for the current board, spend the present bubble clearing space to create a landing spot for it. Concentrate same-coloured bubbles rather than scattering isolated colours around the cluster, because every bubble stuck in the wrong place brings the cluster down faster.

Frequent mistakes

The most common mistake is chasing whatever three-match is visible without any thought for structure. Scores grow slowly that way, and every bubble that fails to clear adds to the cluster and hastens its descent until you bury yourself. The second mistake is never banking off the walls. Players who only shoot in straight lines can never reach the critical positions shielded inside the cluster and are reduced to whittling away at the edges, which is extremely inefficient. The third is ignoring the preview, which exists precisely so you can plan two shots ahead; deciding where to aim only once the bubble appears gives away half the game's strategy. The fourth is still hunting for a big chain when the cluster is already low. At dangerous heights the priority is stabilising the position and clearing the lowest rows, not gambling on a support point you might miss — one miss drops the cluster another level and frequently ends the round outright.

Who it suits

Bubble shooters are among the most established casual game formats, with rules so intuitive that no tutorial is needed and anyone can play a first round competently. The barrier is very low but the ceiling is not: casual shooting scores, while a high score requires understanding the cutting mechanic and developing a feel for bank shots, both of which take practice. It blends the physical satisfaction of aiming with the thinking of layout planning, moving more slowly than a pure reaction game while offering more immediate feedback than a pure puzzle, which suits moments when you want to relax without switching off entirely. Session length is flexible: a good run continues for a long time, while a few misses end things quickly without eating into your day. Because nothing counts down, you can take as long as you like over each shot, which makes it equally suitable for a single round in a spare moment or a long session of grinding for score.

Highlights

The score panel shows your current score alongside your all-time best, so you always know how far you are from a record. The next-bubble preview displays the colour coming up, which is the key information for planning two shots ahead and the source of the game's strategic depth. While aiming, an on-screen note explains that you click or drag to aim and release to fire, so nothing has to be discovered by trial. Clearing and falling have separate visual feedback, letting you see how many bubbles a shot removed and how many of those fell because they lost their connection — genuinely helpful for understanding the cutting mechanic. The end of a round shows your score with a one-tap replay, and a restart button is available during play rather than only at the end. The language button switches the interface between Traditional Chinese and English instantly.

Controls and records

There are only two actions, aiming and firing, and they are combined into one: click or press and drag on the screen to set the angle, then release to shoot. Desktop uses the mouse and phones use a finger, with identical logic, no platform differences and no keyboard required. You can keep adjusting the angle throughout the drag until you are satisfied, so an accidental shot is not really possible and careful aiming is comfortable. Your best score is kept in the browser's local storage on your own device — never uploaded to any server and requiring no account. Records do not follow you to another device, and clearing browser data removes them. The language button switches between Traditional Chinese and English instantly, updating every panel label and result string without a page reload. Once the page has loaded, the game itself needs no network connection.

FAQ

How many matching bubbles are required?

A newly attached bubble clears a connected same-color group of at least three.

Why do floating bubbles fall?

Any cluster with no remaining connection to the ceiling drops as a bonus.

Can a shot pass through existing bubbles?

No. The projectile stops and attaches when it touches a wall boundary or another bubble.
